MANILA, Philippines – The Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) has officially endorsed the candidacies of former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. for president and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio for vice president in the May 9, 2022 elections.

This was announced on INC-owned broadcast channel Net 25 on Tuesday, May 3.
With around 2 million voting members, the influential religious group is known for its bloc voting practice or or vote according to their leaders’ endorsements.
In 2016, INC also backed Marcos in the vice presidential race but he lost to Vice President Leni Robredo. The church also supported the candidacy of President Rodrigo Duterte.
The tandem of Marcos and Duterte are currently leading the survey of research firm Pulse Asia.
INC also supports for the senatorial candidacies of the following:
