The venue of Robredo’s miting de avance along Ayala Avenue corner Makati Avenue was symbolic because it was where the anti-Marcos rallies were held after Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr assassination in 1983.
Aside from the throng of supporters, the rally was also star-studded with performances from celebrities and artists. Musician Juan Karlos performed his hit song “Buwan” while Bianca Gonzales and Robi Domingo hosted the event.
Jolina Magdangal and Erik Santos lead the opening prayer followed by Yeng Constantino and the One Voice choir singing the national anthem “Lupang Hinirang.”
Yeng Constantino led the Philippine National Anthem to officially start the program this afternoon. 🇵🇭

The beauty queen described Robredo as “a one generation type of [leader], bearer of hope and change.”
Anne said, “ Sana po sa Lunes, we all pray for a peaceful and safe elections. And most importantly, I hope we can all pray for healing… Sa Lunes, sa May 9, ipanalo natin to!”
Earlier, Robredo’s spokesman Barry Gutierrez said they are expecting at least 500,000 people to attend their miting de avance. He said, “We expect that this will be more. Conservatively, I think the campaign is banking on at least half a million although some are saying we can easily hit a million attendees to the Saturday miting de avance in NCR.”
Despite Robredo running behind her rival Ferdinand Maros Jr. in the latest Pulse Asia survey, Robredo’s camp is confident they can win the elections.
