Lone bettor wins Php 8.9-M Mega Lotto jackpot


MANILA, Philippines – Lone bettor won the jackpot prize of nearly Php 9 million on Monday’s lotto draw, June 20, 2022.

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the lucky winner bagged the Php 8,910,000.00 jackpot prize of the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw. The bettor guessed the winning combination 17-32-23-14-25-18.

To claim the check, he/she must go to PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City and present the winning ticket and two ID cards.

Lone bettor wins Php 8.9-M Mega Lotto jackpot

The selling agent will get a prize commission of 1 percent of the jackpot prize without exceeding PHP1 million.

As provided in the TRAIN law, lotto winnings of more than PHP10,000 shall be subject to a 20-percent final tax. Once the jackpot is claimed by the winner, it would be less 20 percent.

Prizes not claimed within a year shall be forfeited.

This is the fifth time this month that a sole bettor bagged the jackpot prize of the government’s lottery games.

A lone bettor from Taal, Batangas won Php 5.94 million jackpot prize after guessing the right six-digit combination on June 18 Lotto 6/42 draw.

A bettor in Malabon became an instant millionaire in the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw on June 17 winning the Php 103-million jackpot, while lone bettor from Cavite bagged the Php 9.4-million jackpot of the Lotto 6/42 draw on June 16.

Last June 9, a lone bettor from Las Piñas City bagged the PHP12.9-million jackpot of the Lotto 6/42 draw.

Meanwhile, a lucky bettor has yet to guess the winning combination to win the jackpot of the Grand Lotto 6/55 of a whopping PHP232.1 million on Monday night’s draw.

The 6/45 Mega Lotto is drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

PCSO general manager Royina Garma urged the public to patronize PCSO games to generate more funds to be used to assist Filipinos.

The PCSO serves as the principal government agency for raising and providing funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charities of national character.

One of its key programs is the Medical Access Program (MAP), which is designed to augment the medical needs of Filipinos nationwide, particularly hospital confinement, chemotherapy, dialysis, and post-transplant medicines.

The program is funded by revenues from PCSO games nationwide.
