MANILA, Philippines – The March 2022 Medical Technologist (MedTech) board exam results, which include the full list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing school and performance of schools are available on this page as expected to be released between March 23 and 25 or in 4-6 working days after the exam.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted the Medtech licensure exam (MTLE) on March 16 and 17 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

NOTE: Those who failed to pass the board examination for Medical Technology but had obtained a general rating of at least 70% can register as Medical Laboratory Technician, PRC said.
REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING
PRC said that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Those who will register are required to bring the following:
- downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- notice of admission (for identification only)
- 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
- 2 sets of documentary stamps
- 1 piece short brown envelope
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
Due to pandemic, oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees will be done virtual or online. The online oathtaking application system (e-oath) can be accessed at Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERIS).

VERIFICATION OF RATINGS
Medtech board exam’s verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.
Visit PRC’s “Verification of Rating” service and provide the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.
COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION
Medtech board exam covered the following subjects: clinical chemistry, microbiology and parasitology, clinical microscopy (March 16); hematology, blood banking and serology, hispathologic techniques, cytotechnology, medical technology laws, related laws and its implementing rules and the code of ethics (March 17).
RELEASE OF RESULTS
According to PRC Resolution No. 1439 series of 2021, the target release of Medical technologist board exam results is on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 or in four (4) working days after the exam.
Note that results may be released ahead or on later date without prior notice. The current pandemic situation may also cause delay on the announcement of results.
We advise takers to monitor release of results between March 23 and 26 or in 4-6 working days.
PREVIOUS EXAMS
In the January 2022 medical technologist licensure exam, PRC announced results after six (6) working days. The agency listed 1,307 out of 2,619 who passed the exams. Kyle Patrick Rivera Magistrado from University of Santo Tomas led the passers with 90.40%.
In the March 2021 medtech board exam, PRC announced results after five (5) working days. A total of 1,921 out of 3,251 passed the exams. Felix Jayson Magleo Vegella from Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation topped the board with 91.00%.
In the January 2021 Medtech board exam, a total of 1,919 out of 2,835 passed the exams. The results were released in eleven (11) working days from the last day of examination. Fred Lawrence Delantar Samante from St. Scholastica’s College – Tacloban aced the board with 91.40%.

ABOUT THE PROFESSION
A medical technologist is a healthcare professional involved with laboratory investigations of specimens taken from the human body.
Examinations or tests on biological specimens such as, but not limited to blood, urine, stool and other body fluids, are performed for the purpose of aiding physicians evaluate, diagnose, manage, treat and monitor patients.
The cost of education for the 4-year Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, also known as medical laboratory science, ranges from Php 30,000 to 50,000 per semester in private schools and universities or 40-50% lower in public educational institution.
